What this means is utilizing digital instruments such as keyboards, synthesizers, samplers and music software in a computer to create an entire track for use on an album project, or live performance. MIDI refers to Musical Instrument Digital Interface. Other instruments may be added to the MIDI arrangements to create a fuller and more live sounding backing track. Here are some examples of what can be created with a MIDI arrangement.
